Speak Window

This is an example of a speak window. Here a user Shirish is talking to another user Foo.

The meaning of various menus and toolbar buttons on the Speak Window are given below:

File Menu
New - Clicking this menu item will open a new speak window, as if you clicked the Toolbar-Send Message menu item on the main window. Pressing the key combination Ctrl-N will have the same effect.
Send - Clicking this menu item is same as clicking the Send button on Speak Window. It sends the message to the recipient. Clicking the toolbar button will have the same effect.
Save and Save As - Standard functionality. Save is allowed only when something is there in the upper text box, where all the conversation is recorded. If you try to overwrite a file, it will warn. Files are saved as pure text.
Clicking the button on the Speak window toolbar will have the same effect as saving the file.
Print - Not implemented in 1.0.

Block this User - You can block a user using this menu item or by clicking the button on the Speak window toolbar. When you click it, you will be shown a dialog like the one on the left.

If you click Don't Block, the Block User operation is cancelled.

If you click Block till I am Logged In, the user will be blocked from sending messages to you until you are logged in. These users will appear with Asterix (*) character appended to their names in Blocked Users list

If you click Block Permanently, the user will be blocked from sending messages to you even after you log off. For enabling this user to send messages to you again you have to remove his/her name from Blocked Users list

Close - Closes the Speak window.

Edit Menu - Standard funtionality for Cut(Ctrl-X), Copy(Ctrl-C), Paste(Ctrl-V), Delete(del key) and Select All(Ctrl-A) implemented.

Format Menu
Font - Clicking this menu item will open a Font dialog. You can set the text font for the speak window using this dialog. Clicking the Font button on the Speak window or pressing button on the Speak window toolbar will have the same effect.
Color - Clicking this menu item will open a Color dialog. You can set the background color for the speak window using this dialog. Clicking the Color button on the Speak window or pressing button on the Speak window toolbar will have the same effect.
Default Font and Color - Clicking this menu item will revert the font and color of the current speak window to the original font and color set through Chatter-jee Preferences

Remember that these settings will remain into effect only for the current speak dialog, and will be lost when this speak dialog is closed. If you want these settings to reflect in all new speak dialogs, you have to change Chatter-jee Preferences.
