Jungfraujoch

Jungfraujoch is a big glacier in Alps. The peaks around are covered with snow thru out the year. Jungfraujoch is the highest train station in Europe, and therefore aptly called as 'Top of Europe'.

There are many excursions to Jungfrau from Interlaken. All these trains stop at Lauternrunnen. So we boarded such a train there. It takes around 2 hours to reach Jungfraujoch. As the train started ascending the peaks, we were provided with a feast for the eyes. The scenery was too beautiful around us.

We reached Jungfraujoch at around 12 in the noon. When we had left Lauterbrunnen, the sky was much cloudy. But here it was quite blue. The reason for this was we were far above the clouds now!

Ice Palace is a major attraction on Jungfraujoch. There are many activities, too, for the tourists. We participated in Skiing as well as Tyrollin.
