Lauterbrunnen

Lauterbrunnen is a very small village in the Alps. It's surronded by tall cliffs from all sides. The village is too pretty to describe in words. The size of the village is so small that one can walk from one end of the village to another in less than half hour!

Population of Lauternrunnen is of some hundred. But it's always buzzing with tourists. The main reason for this heavy tourist activity is the beautiful setting and friendly people of this village, and the adjoining town of Interlaken.

Interlaken town gets its name from it's location, which is between 2 big lakes. The main language of communication is German, though most of the people talk English fluently.

There are many tourist spots in Lauterbrunnen and Interlaken. One can always see tourist groups of various sizes visiting these towns. Trummelbach Falls is a major tourist attraction in this area, and can be reached by foot from Lauterbrunnen. Interlaken also offers many Adventure Sports Activities, which we enjoyed the most.

There are many interesting excursions taking place from Interlaken. We went to Jungfraujoch Glaciar. That was a highly memorable (and very cold!!) day for us.
